My EAS is December of this year.

It will be Jalves. I am also on my way to attending NAU (Got accepted just a little while ago) with a couple of military buddies, one of whom owns another 24v E30.

We are looking to start and host the first Flagstaff E30 meet. Haha I am sure you will see both of us sometime in the future.

Is the e30 going to show up at any of the AZbmw meets while it's out here? I would love to see it while it's close to home. (NAU at the moment)

Alright! I thought you had sold it. When are you out of the Marines?

Oh my bad, forgot to elaborate.

The E30 is parked in Arizona, receiving good care from a best friend, until I leave the Marine Corps. Cant drive two cars back at the same time!

Rest assured, it is completely ok, and in capable hands.

What do you mean you only have the M3 now? Did you sell the E30 or is it broken?

This update doesnt contain any cool purchases, as much hasnt gone on with the E30 since I picked up the M3. But I do have some news.

Tomorrow I am driving it out to Phoenix and putting it under a car cover until I EAS from the Corps in March.

I didnt want to do it, but it didnt pass smog, and the registration is going to expire. Turns out the cat is gutted. But, I have wanted to build a nice exhaust for the longest, and this is finally the opportunity to get some distance and time away from her, and renew my friendship 6 months down the road when I uncover her.

Like Shakespeare said, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."

Plus I need some alone time with the M3, to work out its kinks and get it ready to be sold in the future.

I will update this thread with pics of the cruise into town tomorrow. And then this thread will be void of E30-related updates for a while.

And to all of my friends in Socal, I can promise you this wont be the last time you see "Blow Me", "MR E30" or "that ugly ass E30 with the supercharged S52 and the coilovered 5-lugged Style 5's covering those massive E36 M3 brakes" because I will definitely be coming back into town for large events. And maybe even a small one or two.

    Til tomorrow, adios!!

My car had idling problems with a bad slave and master, it was letting the clutch slip.

For the first time since I have owned the M3, it is finally 100% problem free.

I feel so much better about the whole car now.

Would you believe me if I told you that replacing the slave cylinder is what got rid of the random stalling problem? If you do, then you would be right. Because that is all I did this afternoon. And the CEL went out and I drove it without a single issue.

The slave rod had some damage, as you can see in the pic. Not sure what would cause it. But I am more ecstatic than ever. Finally I wont be looking like an idiot as the car shuts off at every light for no reason.

The E30 is driving like a charm as well. About to change the spark plugs and drive out to Phoenix this weekend to renew the registration for another two years. Good times.

Just go with a full tank of gas, it will probably be fine.

fuel vapor systems dont really hold pressure. they just control fuel vapors its your evap system that has a leak. Its usually easy to find the leak with a smoke tester. Charcoal canisters just draw vapors with vacuum from your intake.
