1 E30. 3 days. 1200 miles. One flawless road trip. I am pretty sick and tired of driving though. And I love driving.

Went snowboarding for the first time in my life. I had a blast.

I didnt get told that the road to the ski resort was a dirt one, but by the time we got there it was much too late. So nothing else to do but trudge along and push it through.

Needless to say I received a few awkward looks as I slowly manuevered through the snow and mud. LSD kept me from getting stuck, like a few other unfortunate people.

Like I said earlier, flawless trip. Not one hiccup with the E30. All that maintenance paid off!!!

Man, these suckers have a reputation for all sorts of bad things.

But thankfully I have my E30 to balance out all the crap.

I finally fixed a slow coolant leak that made me add coolant every week or so.

And now all of a sudden, after washing it and making it look all pretty I drive it back to the barracks and watch in horror as the temp rockets to the three quarter line on the dash, and to 250 degrees (hot!!!) on the secondary temp sensor I have that reads temp right outside of the thermostat on the housing.

Plenty of coolant and the belt is still there. I am thinking either stuck thermostat, which doesnt seem plausible, because it was installed A MONTH AGO! Or, worse, a failed waterpump. About to do research.

Dont let the pic fool you, this car is a high maintenance bitch. I curse the PO for ignoring so much maintenance.

On the other, and much happier hand, the E30 is running superchargerless, flawlessly. It has been raining here so I have been enjoying spinning the tires in huge parking lots to really enjoy what I have. At least I have the E30 (which I swear will never leave me stranded) is in great shape. But its probably due to the fact that I have put hundreds into preventative maintenance. Cant wait to do the same to the M3.

This friday the E30 is going on a nice long ride trip, first to Phoenix, then up to flagstaff to go snowboarding. Then all the way back to san diego.

Gonna throw it on a lift tomorrow to check on somethings and make sure everything is in tip top shape before I put lots of miles over the course of this holiday weekend.

B&G coilovers my man. Nice and adjustable, to give me just the stance I want.

Well, its been a while since I have been able to update this thread with anything E30 related, but due to recent events I will be able to post a worthwhile update.

I was enjoying my birthday, and the New years holiday with my girlfriend and her family and it was time for me to go.

Car fired right up, I let it idle for a while, and I go to drive off and the clutch pedal has no pressure whatsoever.

Checks for leaks, there are none. Check for fluid, there is plenty.

Slave cylinder failed on me. Which doesnt suck too bad, but I had to leave it at her house, and I felt kinda like a loser. Haha

Ordering a slave now, and I will install it sometime this week.

    P.S. E36 M3's still suck!
