You can also use a infrared thermometer to make sure you get the heat the right temp and then hold it at that temp per the suggested time.

Just got finished reinstalling the hoses and stuff for the CCV system and the ICV, got the dipstick mounted up, and reinstalled the hanger for the coolant hoses and fuel hardlines, and got them installed as well.

Then I looked over at the 4-shelf rack that was holding all of the parts I disassembled from the M50 when I first got it. There are literally 3 coolant hoses and my tie-rods on it now. I was pretty fucking stoked. It is SO CLOSE to being ready to drop in the car.

                    So a 325e is 127hp/169tq right? And the M50b25 is 189/181??

+62hp/12tq should be good times. Gonna feel like a different car.

do you think you would really gain most of the power back out of the m50 after all this maintenance? (im actually asking)

Also going from a 12V SOHC to a 24V DOHC. Not to mention it will be chipped, no A/C, lightened flywheel, etc. It will be VERY fun.

Hard to say. I'm not really sure where the original hp gets "lost" to begin with. I would love to get it on a dyno once I get the MarkD chip in it, and everything is up and running properly, see what I'm actually putting down at the wheels.

Junkyard score today. Found an E36, so I got an intake boot (which I discovered a tear in), an extra MAF, a couple of fittings for the boot, a couple of radiator hoses, a leather ebrake handle, an extra E36 window switch so I can finally convert my sunroof switch, and the complete alternator air intake snorkel assembly. All for $10.

That is a solid score. Nice pics btw. Loving the crinkle red.

Josh, was the E36 a NV motor as well?

I believe the MAFs are different.
