Those pull thru ties are known for vibrating through the tubes in radiators. Not in a week, but it does happen. A bracket is a much wiser, long term method of mounting.Comment

True story. Had to replace the radiator in my S50 car. Mind you the one I originally put in there was used, now I haz new one. I have the fan bolted to the radiator, it's a custom MR 325 mod.Comment

I have it mounted on there with the zip ties right now, but I will very likely fab up some kind of brackets to mount it to the radiator itself. I wanted to test fit it, turns out I had to do a little... massaging of the radiator core support to fit the 16" SPAL in there, there's a little lip on the top of the lower radiator support that had to be pushed out of the way to fit the radiator/fan in there!

I had the opposite, where they broke and the fan fell so it got all messed up from spinning and hitting the crossmember.
The swap looks great, its in the home stretch.Comment

If you are going to zip tie a fan to a radiator, only do so around the end tanks, the fin/tube system is not strong enough to support any load. Or, buy those brackets above. And, Josh, I'm not saying before you turn the NV over, but I would put it on my 6mo. action plan, being as I know this is not your daily.Comment
