I did have to trim it, I took about 1/2-3/4" off the bottom edge there that's right against the manifold.

lol, you guys act like I'm doing machine work over it. I said before, I can't find it. I cover it up when I'm working in there.

There's more than one version of the M50 OBD1 intake manifold, FYI, and the plenums are offset slightly differently. They also differ in the amount of support "ribs" on the plenums, too.

That's what she hopes you'd say:p You're right about much cleaner the E30 M3 harness cover looks than the E36.

Fuck those shitty little auto parts store hose clamps, industrial fluid clamps FTW. :D

Also cleaned up, sanded and polished the tips of my M3 exhaust:

So... why did you point the clamps down?

The one that's right under the valve cover on the left didn't have enough room between it and the vanos block-off plate to fit normally, so I just pointed it down, and did the other side to match.

They are called "T-bolt" clamps. Here is a crappy google search I found on them: http://www.modernperformance.com/blo...orm-gear-clamp

                          Benefits:
more even clamping force instead of the worm gear pinch
                          doesn't cut into silicone/rubber
                          lock nut
                          less prone to stripping
                          better looking?

                          Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

WOW. That engine is so clean! I would love to take on a project like this after college. I can't wait to see it done and running.
