Yeah that is why it is sold under the competition series of seats, entry level. I'm calling the idiot card on you.not what i mean ...
the construction of the seat is not a a "fiberglass shell". search google and you will find the same.the sparco sprint is a tube steal frame seat.
in this link you will see pics of the bottom of a sparco sprint 5.
as you can see its not a "fiberglass shell"...
my point is for someone who will be on a race track, this is not a recommended seat to be used.
You should get a cage if you are going to use more than a 3 point seatbelt on the street or on a track.
As for buying cage parts, you might be able to make the tubing yourself and weld it in. You can look up tubing requirements for various style cages, rally/lemons/etc.Leave a comment:

I believe the Sprint 5 is SFI rated and perfectly fine for racing. I dont use Sparco seats and am not an expert in them, but they should be fine, just get a cage!Leave a comment:

Dude, I believe what he means by this is the seats are designed to have a cage and a back brace to support them, some of these seats are designed for racing others are desigend for street cars, if it is a race seat in order for it to be installed properly you need a back brace conected to a cage.
