        Thanks man,

My shop is in Hummelstown, which borders Hershey on the West... 20 miles from Carlisle. LMK when you're coming up... stop in for sure!

So e30tech member Eudaemonic was making a trip to Pennsylvania from Boston and happened to have a set of wheels I'd been bugging him about for months. He PM'ed me a week or so ago about the wheels and said he was ready to part with them and wanted to know if I was still interested in them... I said yes and he then asked if he could stop by the shop to see the project and drop the wheels off to me en route to State College. I said of course, so around 2PM today, Fred stopped by the shop and we bullshitted for an hour or so. It was great to hang out and talk, but he had to get up North, so he left around 3:15. He did say he wanted to see some pics of the wheels on the car, so before I left, I quick put 2 on the driver's side and snapped some pics...

The pictures suck... I'll try to get some better ones on Sunday, but at least you can get the idea. Style 42's, E36 fitment, staggered... They may get the centers powdercoated to match the Alpine exterior or they may stay silver... don't know yet. Tire sizes are a little off for the car, but they're closer than the mud-boggers I had on it before, Lol! We'll see what I ultimately end up with for tire sizes, might take some trial and error...

Thanks again Fred and it was a pleasure meeting you! Stop by anytime...

Car is looking great Garey! I like those wheels on it.

When do you think it'll go for paint?

Well, my primer came in on Wednesday, but the heat and humidity are too high here to even think about primer or paint right now. I would like to get the primer on it sometime in the next 2 weeks, dependent on the weather, of course. I have to prime the inside and outside, so I have plenty to do and obviously the inside is not as crucial finish-wise, so it will require less attention than the outside. I still have to scuff the interior before I can prime it and that will take a day or so, itself. Once it's primed, I'll order the base and clear and yes, it looks like I'll be shooting it myself. I'll be happy when the paint is done and I can start putting pieces on it for good...:D

Worked on the exhaust a little tonight. I want to get the exhaust mock up done before I go forward with the primer. Made a little progress...

The cats sit in pretty much the stock location and the mufflers sit where the gas tank used to. I need to pick up some hangers, flanges or V-band clamps and then fill in the missing sections...

Here's a good shot of the underneath from the back...

                        Those wheels, RS740?
I have a set of these, was considering them on the old goat, they look sweet as.

Definitely a great looking set of wheels, I'm just not sure if they're baller enough for your car. Seriously.

Nope, RS723 front, RS724 rear. I like them too. I haven't decided on the color for the centers yet, though...

Thanks man... that's what Mike(White325is) said, too. I just don't know if I want a baller set of wheels, though. These are pretty functional as far as size and looks, they're not flashy, good driving wheels. Maybe a set of iforged, CCW's, etc would be killer looking, but I'd be afraid to drive it much with them on. I plan on driving this thing when it's done, so maybe a second set of wheels for shows, that are flashier... dunno.

I like the idea of a second set of wheels. The one for shows. The show ones should have some stretch and poke. Haha.
