Well, at long last an update... no pictures, as you've seen it before, but I got the motor back in the car yesterday, along with the exhaust re-hung. I'll next get the harness in the car, so I can change the fuse block location, add or lengthen the runs that need attention and basically finish up the layout and orientation of all things electrical. I have to locate all the accessories, such as the overflow tank, the brake and clutch reservoirs, the washer tank, the DME, the power steering reservoir, etc. All this stuff will need mounts/brackets made and attached and some of it will need electrical connections, so you can see how these next steps go hand in hand. I'll get some pics on Monday...

                  Wow!

I ended up reading this thread from the very start, simply awesome the attention to detail and effort that has gone into building this car thus far!

A Noob question i've gotta ask thou, As your only going to be using it as a street car and the cage wont meet track day regs, is this due to its design or tube size or something else?? what Are the required rules and regs regarding cages for track day purposes?

Funny how you buy stuff, stick it in storage and forget you bought it, lol! Euro grilles FTMFW! Totally forgot I had them, a buddy asked me why I had US grilles on it and I didn't have an answer. So I went to my storage treasure chest and grabbed them and put them on, lol!

                      Just thought I'd share...

So, on Wednesday, the family and I were travelling to Ohio for T-Day dinner at my folks house and it was shaping up to be a hectic day... I had to take my oldest daughter to ballet, grab lunch for both kids and I, ship a clutch/flywheel setup to Chicago and then head home to pack and get ready for the trip. On Tuesday night, an s14 member was travelling down from the Boston area and was bringing my M3 rear seat with him and we were going to meet up Tuesday evening. Bad weather and traffic combined and kept him from getting into my area until Wednesday, around noon-time. So now I have a dilemma... need to get the seat, but have the girls 'til wifey gets home. Plus Erich was only available to meetup until 2:30 and my family and I needed to get on the road, as well... I call the wife, she's on her way home and it's 1:30. She pulls up, I jump in my car and take off to Lancaster to meetup with Erich. I stop at the bank, grab some cash and get down to Faulkner BMW, where we're meeting, at 2:20. Erich shows up at 2:30, we do the deal, hang out and BS for a few minutes and then I blast back up 283 to my house. My family and I get on the road to Ohio at 4:30 and start the 6 hour drive. Get into Columbus around 10:45 and get settled in, put the girls to bed and collapse, lol! I'm checking my email and the forums before I go to bed and low and behold, another s14 member I was waiting to send me some pictures did and I now have the final large piece of my project being readied to ship from St Louis... my rear bumper! It's crazy how sometimes, in all of the chaos, the stars align and things that you've been searching out or waiting for end up coming your way, lol! I just thought I'd share this funny/chaotic story with everyone... just a couple more things to be thankful for this year...

                              Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Here are 2 pics of the latest acquisitions...

Spent some time today repairing one of the M3 front seats. I say repair, but it was more like completely rebuild. Stripped the covers off the upright and base, welded some broken items, swapped bases for a non-crushed one, re-installed the covers and re-assembled the seat. Now I have 2 functional front M3 seats and 2 functional front vert seats... I may be selling 1 pair, we'll see...
