If I were to cover the whole car id need probably two more 2" rolls and another narrower one.

Hood is held on with two of six screws, not body gapped or anything yet. Ds door has the handle fixed and mirror installed. The mirror from the car with bumpers I got is on the pass door too. Center exhauust section is in, but to get the muffler tips to exit the valence hole properly, I have to change the welded on muffler brackets. That part is sapping all of my energy, it feels like I have gotten nothing done yet today.

Remaining to do, is finishing hanging my exhaust, hang my ds door and instal l/r door seals. Get a center grille and grille clips for across the top. Aim my headlights. Change my diff fluid. Have my windshield and rear window installed. put hose between coolant reservoir and front of blocks inlet, fill with coolant. Instal tails. Start?

If it does start and the circuits check out ok, I may still need to drain the coolant again to get a temperature curve from the water temp sensor. Basically, ill need to program my dash2s inputs, notably my water temp sensor, gas gauge min/maxes (once I fill the tank, then can drain and refill), and hopefully my speed sensor for mph odo and trip reading. Programmable with a serial cable...

Finished the tails in the morning by giving the plastic outside a fresh coat of black.

Then my dad came down and picked me up for a Fathers Day helping me work in my car :o
Got new redline 75w90 for the diff, tail and blinker bulbs, my good tire from the cracked arc8 to aaron (cahomey)'s less, but also egg shaped black painted kopi that looks like it got chewed on by a dog on ther lip. In case it drives before I get my tr motorsport c1s. The door is on too...

Got 3 feet of 1" ID bulk hose to run from the res to the water inlet by cyl 1 behind the oil filter housing. Since I have no heater box, and plugged the rear port in the head, this is basically what the spider hose is reduced to. I used all but about 6 inches to route in smoothly.

The muffler is mounted now too...

Aaand im running into my electrical problems. Hopefully I will find out what is causing this $#!+, cause it's just so close now. I do have a new oil filter too, and a 5 gallon jug of rotella-t 15w40 oil ill be changing in before the trip.

Its getting down to the last week before im planning on taking this thing on a mad road trip, if the following days have as much steady progress as I have had the last couple days. Problems (especially electrical) have not been any stranger yet either yesterday, or today but ive worked through it and fixed them.

Today I had window installers fight with the installation of my front and rear windows. The seals and lock strips fought back hard but they succombed to their prescribed fitment after 3 hours of war on rubber and glass.

I changed the diff fluid on the burnt up lsd, basically open diff cause I accidentally knocked chunks of dirt in it when I took the cover off to get the bushing on. Borrowing the fender roller from a family friend but haven't don't anything yet..its just sitting there right now. Maybe tomorrow.

Then I find out why the 6a charger was popping its circuit breaker when id turn on the ign sw. With the battery, I started cooking the dead short under the dash once I flicked on the ign sw. It was the ign sw ground wire, I had accidentally hooked up to the on side of the ign sw, which is b+, so I burnt that wire back to the fuse box, where I did some fixing and have it wired to ground now as it should :)

My dash2 lit.up the first time ever when I tried it again. Here is a quick teaser of it turning on for thr 2nd time...

My monowiper works! My power window switches work! My blinkers work! Headlights and tails are good, I just need to re hang my 3rd brake light, it popped off.
...and my horn is stupid loud.

Tomorrow I try the rest of it, like seeing if it will start. I dont hear the fuel pump, I need to remember how I have that wired in if its not gettin power. Well see, as far as appts, I just need a smog and 4 wheel alignment.

Fan sw is on, high beam is on and fogs. Both indicated on the dash and actually working except fogs, I have blanks in... Turn indicators too, just not blinking here.

It was christmas today, I got my wheels one day early! Here are some nice shots, and the clearance issue. Requires some grinding on the top and bottom outside corners of the calipers. The rest clears but just.

Quick update, wheels are on and the car starts...

Or tries to. It dies as soon as I kill the starter motor. I believe it is due to the unloader relays that I had not wired in since they are integrated into the e30 fuse box and wasnt sure what they did... Well. Probably keep the car running after it starts. There is a note about passing ground or something through the relays except when starting, it is through the starter motor. I suppose that would make sense, the same as if it dies when the key is returned to run from start. Now to figure out how to wire in the two relays i just got to do the job. It shows two unloader relays in the schematic, k6 and k7 I believe.
