Yeah I have heard SEM's quality has dropped off recently. It still isn't too late to return it, what to do :( -
Honestly, I use Dupli Color HB primer's but, again, it's cheap. I really do like how they turn out color wise and durability in contrast to SEM which IMO has fallen dramatically in the past 2 years.Leave a comment:

Duplicolor worked fantastic for me, and it was way cheaper. Never used SEM, but i cant really imagine it looking more "trim-like" hahaLeave a comment:

Yeah, it fills in like a filler, but you want to use sparingly, because otherwise you will have to sand it down a lot. It lays on a lot thicker than regular paint.
It shoud work fine as long as you prep the surface well. And maybe pick up some stuff to wipe the trim down with after you sand if you are really nitpicky about dust in it. I use Xylene, its good stuff.Leave a comment:

High build just makes sanding way easier, so I hear.
This SEM shit better workLeave a comment:

Sorry, was under the impression that sanding could take out most of the problems, maybe I'll save some of my HB primer then for trim
Yup, already know;)Leave a comment:

For trim high build works fantastic if you actually want your rub strips to look new. Otherwise, yes, you are correct. Regular primer is fine.Leave a comment:

Yes I know duplicolor is cheaper, oh well.
And high build per Luke's recommendationLeave a comment:

Why would you get high build primer....your not really filling in lots of pitting/scrapes. Should've just gone with regular primerLeave a comment:

Welp. $30 later and I have the right paint and primer for my car.
