I'd make some sort of heatshield for that passenger inner CV boot. you'll probably melt through them twice a year with the exhaust that close to it. don't ask me how I know this..

what are you doing with the brake issue now?

Nice work! You should turbo that M52, M52's are meant to be boosted, just think about it turbo 24v IX. As for the EWS transponder why not just attach it somewhere in the glovebox?

If you lose your key how the hell are you going to get another one? Do you even know the VIN of the donor car? Jus' sayin.

cleaned er up and put er back together, need to grab a normal M50 fuel rail cover.... wasn't thinking there... :/

Aquired a second good IX drivetrain.

Then i decided to play with the EWS ring and key

E36 Key with EWS chip and Ix key appart

This is the magic chip in the key... so tiny

    well look at that

a little hot glue and this will work just fine!

yeah, i was actually worried about bending the frame....

normally i pull the engine straight out the top, but with all the IX junk i decided it would be easier to do this and then remove all the ix stuff when im not under the car.

Perhaps, just saying, be careful. This is how me and a couple friends pulled the motor from my vert, except we didnt have a hoist, we had 3 guys holding it up and pushing the car backwards.

yeah, but with no engine/transmission/suspension/drivetrain the front i quite light, and there was hardly any force on that tow hook.
