just use a small master cylinder like a 21mm to help soften the pedal up a bit.

I don't remember whether you still own or have sold since then, but at the time, it was I thought, the perfect example of what an e30 should look like. Your pics on the railroad track are still some of my most favorite.
Since then, I've much opened my eyes and realized that everyone does not stick to the tried and true method of a OEM+ e30. While my car is not extravagant or "eye catching" as some, I always like to add my own individual flair to it.
While you may think it looks like shit, not everyone is in the same mindset as you. I personally like the way it offsets the white and it has nothing to do with leghumping, her being a girl, etc. I respect dedication and work put into something you love.
While you are absolutely entitled to your own opinion, as we all are, to say your opinion is helpful is absolutely arrogant. It is YOUR opinion. The fact that we are able to create what we like with a blank canvas is what keeps us unique. We also "mostly" know what is pure shit on these cars. This for one is not one of them, and will never be seen unless the car is on display with the hood popped at a show.
Jay, keep up the good work and you are an inspiration to me, as it has finally come time for my 318is to donate it's heart to a respectable e21 or 2002 in the near future. I've decided once I rip that out, it is getting rebuilt to a 2.1L stroker with possible FI that will go to a chassis of my choosing. As the saying goes, the best thing an e36 can ever do, is donate it's heart to an e30...I feel the same way about the m42 into above mentioned cars.
Thank you so much for being original , I m glad you share this on my thread and not hop on the bandwagon with everyone else! :)

I am going to criticize the hell out of this, just like I do everything else I don't like in R3V. Just like I did on DTMpower. I know I speak for a group on this forum when I say, there isn't a problem with effort, there is a problem with wasted effort. If you really want to shock us, do something right the first time, have some pride, and slow down your builds. Japandrew may be a silly MFer, but at least he does his shit right. Burrougs (while he doesn't really "build" his cars, at least has the sense to slow shit down and finish things in order, and take steps to do things correctly.
So much on this forum is I need it now, which is why people do things like wrap their cars, paint them with rollers, Primer them out. The expensive and hard stuff takes time. Just because you slapped an s52 into your e30 in a week doesn't make you cool. If you tore the engine down, rebuilt what needed to be rebuilt, re-sealed it, then rested it in your car on new mounts with a new clutch, then you get respect. Anyone can spraybomb an engine bay or slap a motor in their car. The finished product, and the longevity of the motor and tranny's life are the true product. This is what R3V is missing.
None of you "restore" shit. Don't make this a Vdub culture. Don't do things cheaply or cut corners, do them right and take the time to learn. If you can't afford it, save your money, then do it. If you can't afford it after that, maybe you should just get a honda. Help make this website THE end all be all when it comes to e30s, one that has pride in it's workmanship and it's cars.Last edited by delatlanta1281; 08-14-2011, 10:32 PM.Yours truly,

Ok, skimming through this thread... I could care less if its a girl, guy or he/she that has this. I've been around cars all my life. Granted i'm only 32. But the painting of an engine bay a different color other then black or body color? I'm sorry but there has been some stupid trends, and i hope this dont catch on... Unless i missed something where the rest of the car will be swimming pool blue? But if not, i think the op needs to get these wheels off of this guy here to put on her car, http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=217253
The one upside to this is that someone is working on it and posting up progress through out the build.! And the op is showing some tuffness by sticking around.
