Non-body coloured engine bays are a trend I can get along with. Yeah, more masking and better painting could have been done, but whatever. OP - If you haven't figured out a booster solution yet, I think this is the best idea yet.
just use a small master cylinder like a 21mm to help soften the pedal up a bit.
