Don't know why I haven't seen your build thread until now Brandon.
Love seeing the very very beginnings until now; completely different beast and awesome transformation. Good job

While I am waiting for Swanny's wheels to be done at Renewed Finishes. **We dropped off our parts together to make one trip.**

I saw the back of the head gasket leaking. I placed a nice order with BluntTech...and did this haha

Cross hatching is perfect and the pistons/valves are great.

Ordered all new everything. By the time I am done all that is left will be crank bearings.

Head was washed and rinsed with all new rear cam seals and all new studs/nuts. The headers will be finished this week!

I never understand kids swapping an engine without tearing it down while it is out. It is ALL about the maintenance.

Busy day today, set out to get everything finished and ready for the refresh parts from BluntTech. Put the head in the parts tank to get it factory clean. Then took a wire wheel to it. Removed the rear seal covers and repainted them. All sealed and ready to go. Put a level across the head and measured for warp with my gauges. None, good to go!

3 hours spent blasting, sanding, wire brushing and painting...look at that "buttery smooth respray" props to whoever can guess the quote xD

Also wire wheeled/painted the starter and tested it before install.

I have nothing left to do till my parts order arrives Friday. I know these are boring updates, but she will be running in a few weeks.

Waiting on blunt and renewed finishes.

Smug looks are for stuck up yuppies that never know the feeling of grease under their finger nails.

All I am waiting on is lower timing case gaskets and my powder coated bits.

Quick tip* install the white chain guide BEFORE head gasket and head are on LOL! What a bitch...

Put the timing case covers on to see how the blacked out theme looked.

Sorry for all cell phone pictures. Building a new tower this weekend, clean hires pictures will be back in due time.
