I've always been a fan of your builds, and this one looks like its going to be just as nice as the rest.
Have you ever used any Sherwin-Williams automotive paint? My e30 needs a paint job really bad and I just so happen to work at a architectural Sherwin Williams and I get a discount on all paints, wondered if the auto stuff was any good.

Not my style of wheel really. Not wide enough either. I dont go any smaller than a 8 in wheel and usually no bigger then a 9 inch wheel. Im not really sure what Im going to do wheel wise. I know I got to focus on this paint first. Then replace a few more seals.
Then Im going to pull the engine, spray the bay and clean up the engine and have some things powder coated.
But as we all know, plans always change. So lets see where it goes ones the paint is all done and the car is back together. :)

OK, well I have a few more updates for you kids.
I got the body and doors fixed of the issues with the gun. These are the best photos I got after the clear dried.

Pics of the trunk and top cover getting work done, then in primer, then painted and installed.

I was suppose to have a set of fenders coming from another member down in FL. Some shit happend so I wasnt able to get them. I ended up picking up some non vert fenders and making them work. The blue passenger fender I got from Levent at Guten Parts. It had a dent in the front by the headlight, but I wasnt scared. The red driver side came from another member and it was in great shape. Sad I had to cut it up, but I kinda had no choice at this point.
I still need to weld the bottoms to the fenders and do all the putty work. I just wanted to get everything mounted and fitted up before I got to far with them.
              So photos for your pleasure.

So starting tomorrow I need to bust my ass to get what I have left either painted or in primer this weekend.
The parts that are ready for paint right now is the rear bumper, gas door, both mirrors and maybe the front bumper. Im having issues with it since it got cracked when I was backed into the 3rd time. So I may need a new one as the plastic weld doesnt want to hold.
The front fenders, valance and hood all need putty work, welding and then primer. So I have alot of shit to do.

Well Ive been slackin on updates because well, Im a slacker. Nah really Ive been using my phone as a radio and not taking photos and just trying to get some shit done.
I was going to shoot the last of the panels last night. But I need to drain the comp of its water that it collected through the week and I dont have the key for the comp room. So I will be able to do that later on today when the boss man shows up.

Painted my rear bumper last weekend along with the gas door and thats about it. :/

Like I said before I wasnt happy with how the trunk came out. So I sanded it down and fixed up a spot and primed it.

Did the hood at the same time.

Trunk sitting on the car and rear bumper and gas door installed.

I didnt get any photos really of the work on the driver side fender. But I sealed that and the hood along with the trunk above.

Wet sanded the hood super smoooth.

Remember the corner of that passenger fender that was all fucked up?

Everything setup for paint. My buddy Dustin working on some parts for me.

This is his e30, 91 318is. I dont know if you kids remember that white one I bought awhile back and sold. Well this is it.

I figure to take a break from some body work I would work on the new exhaust setup.

Thats it for today. Tomorrow night I will probably have some photos of everything painted up in some fresh alpine 3.

Aww this is where your build was hiding. I was wondering how soon you were going to start another build after the unfortunate incident. Seeing you, among other people, do body work like this really makes me want to dive into my car and learn. I'm planning on doing suspension, wheels and some interior this summer, perhaps I'll paint my car while I'm at it? What's your background in all of the fabrication work anyway?

                  Looking good, cheers.

Here is the front mid section all finished up.

Hood, valance, fenders all with paint.

                    and trunk.

                    Now with everything in clear.

                    And installed.

Still have lots and lots of work to do. :/

proper work going on here. I never heard of the paint dropping into the clear from the cup (unless the cup was dirty?). What gun/cup are you using? I would let them know about this so they can look into it and maybe help you out by throwing some green/shwag your way as you lost a lot of time and money due to this.
I love the way the PPG flows even the single stage white can me sprayed with very minimal orange peel.

Shitty luck with the gun and blue stain. Never seen that happen. +1 on what gun/cup are you using?

At least you got it figured out though. Everything else looks rad.
