Nothing new really at this second. I started taking some of the interior stuff out that will not be needed. I've roughly shaved 150lbs off the cars weight including the lightweight battery. The car is so much fun to drive these days.

I am waiting on extra wheels right now. Here's a random photo....

I've been leaving you guys hanging... so this is what I've been up to lately.

I’ve been waiting on these new rear wheels for some time now to make it from Asia. They are finally here! I bought the R888’s to mount on them because I knew they would run wide, and I …

more pics coming but it was getting late and the car is dirty

I was going to say, on your blog you say you didn't want too much stretch. That is stretch.

i think the point he was trying to make was that numerically, a 205 on a 10" wide wheel is a lot of stretch, but the R888s run wide. and if you look at the pics they don't seem to be overly stretched.

will be interested in seeing side pics.

You guy are just thinking in terms of 205 is a 205 is a 205... these are as wide or wider than many 225 track tires in 15" sizes. They are as wide as my 235 star specs that I posted. There is no way you can compare them to a 205 street tire. It's okay if you don't like the "look" of it, but if you are worried about function this setup will take on some serious turns.

and yes I said not too much stretch... not any stretch at all. A very small amount of stretch is one of the better things you can do when mounting a track tire. Get the chunky tire American muscle car idea out of your head. That is not the fastest way around a track. A fat tire hanging off a smaller wheel will get you no where fast in comparison to a tire that is mildly stretched, has a stiffened sidewall from that reason, and doesn't have to shift every time you shift the cars weight.

Sorry, normally when someone puts a 205 on a 10in. it is stretched to hell and back. I thought the picture you posted was of the fronts on an 8in. wide wheel. I know that a mildy stretched tire is quicker than a bubble tire. That being said, how do you like the tires? How much did you have to work the fenders to fit them?
