Hi, guys. I got this car last month and I've done a lot of things on it since I got it. I bought it without personally looking at it or test driving it. I know that was crazy but I was confident enough about my know-how to fix most of the problems on the car. If not, I would not hesitate to bring it to a professional if it's more than what I can handle and of course, if I am feeling lazy.
The PO said it had these issues:
1. Engine dies after starting. (I thought it was the fuel pump)
2. Vibration at low speed. (Could be flex disk)
3. Hood was bent and it was missing the kidney grills.
4. Center console & e-brake console was missing.
5. It's on steelies.
6. Windshield had several cracks on it.
Here's how I got her. I had the tow truck guy go pick it up and I paid the seller through paypal. No hassle.
Ugly front.

With the hood replaced.

Side profile... ugly steelies.

Here she is newly painted and sitting on basketweaves.

So far, I've fixed the vacuum leak by replacing the intake gasket, the throttle body gasket and at the same time cleaning both while it was out.
Replaced the spark plugs as well. Replaced the o'rings & washer on the PCV.
I was excited to replace the guibo to eliminate that vibration. But it turns out the whole drive shaft was bad. So replaced that with one that Cabriolet supplied to me with new CSB. Awesome! No more shaking.
Installed the center consoles that i had sitting in my garage. Bo hooked me up with basketweaves.
Next on the list are the following:
Valve cover gasket
Valve adjustment
Probably the head gasket just to make sure.
Timing belt & water pump since this car is high mileage car.
Some Royal Purple for the engine.
Suspension and steering components
Wheel alignment
Tan interior to black again. If I could find a grey one, I would prefer that.
Oh before I forget the oil pan gasket as well.
If I'm forgetting something let me know.
My ebony and ivory E30.
