Yes, drool, drool. Engine bay looks great. I'm sure anxious to see the engine installed, and then the whole car painted. Looks like you picked a winning color.

OK time for a major update!
Well I picked up the car from RX Auto yesterday afternoon. Pierz has been on my back chasing an oil cooler this week so he could get it done before the weekend. We picked up a oil cooler, speed flow fittings and braided line. He left me to fit the oil cooler as he just wanted to lines to check oil pressure. After this was done he gave me a call to tell me the good news! Seeing the engine in feels like I'm getting near the end of this project. I didn’t really get to look at it last night so I had a good look this morning. The quality of work is awesome!
After about 30 minutes of looking at it there is still a lot of work to be done to get this beast on the racetrack. Some of the things include hook-up oil cooler, hook-up clutch line, the whole fuel system, the whole cooling system and the computer. Most of this stuff I have sourced and purchased already. So I will be getting stuck into it over the next few weeks. We fitted up the carbon airbox and air filter just to test fitment as it will be a tight squeeze with the radiator and oil cooler all around the same spot. I think one of the best parts about this car so far is the gear shift. The knob is the perfect height and exactly the same height as the steering wheel. The shift is extremely short, I have attached pics of it in neutral, 2nd gear and 3rd gear (its a dogleg box) so you can see how short it is. Can't wait to get stuck into the interior and make it feel like home.
Progress should be pretty quick from here on. I will update you guys as soon as something happens :)

wow. awesome stuff so far. makes me wonder why you're running XXRs. even though they look great in motion with teh R888s, i wouldnt trust those wheels long term. i think i saw some XXRs just totally collapse and totalled the front end of the car on one of the threads here.
Keep up the good work and the updates though!

Ok update time!
Since I last checked in not much has happened in the way of work done to the car. Unfortunately work has been keeping me busy so not much time to work on the car. The only things I have managed to do are put the clutch lines back on and bleed it up and put the brake booster and master cylinder back on, which has lead to a bit of a problem. I have however ordered some parts. Since I forgot to put the rear sub frame washers in I have to pull all the rear suspension out again :( but I bought camber and toe adjusters from IE. I also purchased a set of 3.73 gears for my LSD so once they arrive the whole rear end will be finished and the drive train will be complete. This week my rear calipers are getting reconditioned so that will almost complete the braking system, apart from the airbox sitting right onto of the master cylinder leaving no room of the reservoir as you can see in the pics. This means I will have to modify it to remote reservoir.
My dad has been hard at work getting rid of all the wiring, I am very fussy about my wiring so stayed tuned for an extremely good wiring job. Yesterday Dad and I got stuck into the oil cooler and mounting bracket. Pictures do a lot of the talking and its no wearing near done but all the holes are drilled so the bracket just needs to be tidied up and painted. We spaced it over about 150mm so it wouldn't impede the path of the air intake.
I have also been thinking about what engine management I will run and have pretty much made my mind up, starts with M and ends in C... any guesses?
Thanks for reading!

Hey fellas, I have been MIA the last month with some work and a trip to Melbourne. Unfortunatly the car is still at the exhaust shop. It has been there almost 4 weeks now as basically everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. I now have parts everywhere in my garage waiting to be installed. My new fuel tank arrived along with swirl pot, also a new coolant overflow and thermostat arrived. I think I have most of the parts required to get in running so once I get the car back, should be all steam ahead. In the mean time, here is a picture of the headers ;)
