You should definitely have the handling down the back at Lakeside. Watching the fast group on Friday, it seems like there's a lot of time to be made up through Hungry, Eastern Loop and the final corner.

So when do the flares arrive :P, & why haven't you got that angle grinder out yet :P

Looking good man, when do you get the engine back & ready to drop in. Let me know if you need a hand dropping it in :)

What flares are you going with? I am looking into this now...need some more rubber on my car, 225's just aren't cutting it / lasting long :D

Still love those beefy R888s. Not a fan of the wheels though.

Still, looking good, glad to see it coming together. Keep it up.

Edit: they're 225s? Why didn't you go with the 235/50s?

I had 225s on the red car and they worked well as 225s fit perfectly on a 8 inch rim. I think if I had 235s they would bulge to much. I just stuck with what I knew worked. Anyway these tyres are only temporay as I will get a set of slicks when these wear out. :D

                        Update time!
Car has been at the body shop for a bit over a week now so hence a bit of a quite patch. The new front has been welded on and will be sprayed this week so I will have a full picture update then, only shitty phone pics for now. ;)

I dropped the car off on Monday last week for Dylan and the boys at Concord Smash Repairs to get started on the front radiator support and paint the engine bay blue. I wasn't exactly sure what shade of blue to go, I only knew I wanted to be a darker shade of blue. On Friday Dylan dropped around 4 color cards each with different shades of blue, only to find I was away down the coast having a relaxing holiday with my lovely lady. ;) So I had a look at the samples yesterday morning and after much thought I decided to go with Chevrolet Moroccan blue. This is the same blue as you find on Holden Barina Sparks and Cruzes. So I went over this afternoon and informed Dylan of my decision and had a quick look at the car. The works looks really professional, the pictures aren’t great but you can see where they have removed the brackets and sanded flat. I am very happy with the work so far. :) As I said car should be finished mid next week. Then its time to chuck a very expensive bit of kit under the bonnet. ;)

Also saw one of those Fatal 4 HSV cop cars on the way home and thought I snap a quick pic.

There is a branch of Alstom in the same industrial complex as one of my main Euro parts venders, I pass it at least once a day. I recognized the logo immediately and even did a double-take and then checked your location. Small world... cool cop car, too!

                              Does anyone like blue?

So today was a very busy day. I was expecting to get the car back later this week, so it came as a surprize at about 9am this morning when I got a call from Dylan at Concord Smash Repairs that my car was finished and ready to roll :D So I gave Dad a call to see if he wanted to organise a tow truck to pick it up and take it over to RX Automotive for the boys to get cracking on the engine. Less than 3 hours later the car was at the workshop ready for the engine install... how time flys!

I popped arround this arvo to check out the work and snap some shots of the car. To say it looks awesome is an understatment. I am so happy with the result and how it turned out. Note where the brackets for the old airbox and coilpacks were! I am even more happier with the service and price I got from Concord. If you ever need any painting or body repairs done, give Dylan a call at Corcord Smash Repairs (got to give a free plug ;) ). I can't wait to see the rest of the car in this colour.

Here is the result so far.

The branch that's here does heavy machine work... dunno. The engine bay looks great, BTW!
