Not many updates. I got my 42lb injectors from vac the other day. I found a semi local tuner. I washed out the engine bay but it still needs more cleaning. I'm gonna do the head gasket, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, and all other engine seals. Also gonna pull the motor and trans change to a more capable clutch and lightened flywheel. I wanna check all the timing stuff to make sure nothing needs replacing. I found a leak in spark plug #1 I believe its from the valve cover gasket. The car is off the road for the winter. I am buying a 91 318 for a dd tomorrow. Updates will come soon I just dont wanna bolt stuff up only to take it all off again.

What else do i need to make the megasquirt work? The original owner said I need something to make it work?

I only wanted to make 200whp on stock setup.When I build the motor completely I am expecting at least 300. From what I have read so far it is definitely possible if you tear it down and build the motor up .The previous owner of the turbo kit said he made 246whp at 12psi on a stock m42. That seems high to me but who knows. Also certain dyno's read higher. I wonder If I call DTM if they would remember his car?? I need to figure the megasquirt shit out. The rest of the stuff I can have bolted up in a day. I just dont see the point until I have everything else hooked up.

If anyone knows about megasquirt fill me in with what I'm missing.

I second buttchug... 300hp is going to be difficult to be reliable on, I am guessing. Maybe with studs, oring, and double stacked gasket? Not sure, that seems like it would need an a lot of boost... maybe ~20psi?

He could of been bullshitting. I don't know honestly. Either way I'm not trying to build a race car just a badass vert with boost and still get good gas mileage. I will see what numbers it makes when I take it to get tuned. Anything over 200 and I'll be happy on stock internals.
