Ok but seriously, I'd like to run 15mm spacers in the rear for the street. Time to get to work...

Can the e30 rear end even handle that much power?
...Or are you just going to find out?

I've got a 2.73 lsd going in, which is the recommended diff for the swap. Its looking a lot less difficult of a swap then I thought.

Hahah, sorry. Was there when I bought it. I dig it, but I'm curious to see if the tach was actually messed up or what the case was... Its kind of a part of the car now, if not a bit redundant.

Not right now, but I assume the aftermarket one is wired directly into the tach wiring, as apposed to tapped into the wires. That probably makes no sense.

Oh, and I saw that ninja edit. I lol'd.

How about the rest of the rear suspension? How about the subframe? I'd be worried about more than the differential.

Ive read a pretty thorough build thread on it and It says that the stock subframe etc is fine. Now when it comes time for the s62 cams I'll definitely be doing poly rear subframe mounts and an m3 diff. In fact, if I use a 5spd trans for it(as apposed to the 6spd), I can use the stock trans mounts and a stock driveshaft. Even the rad doesn't need special fab work. So really, I just have to get engine mounts made, and modify the brake booster and figure out wiring. The build I found even has a very clear, easy to use diagram for making a plug and play harness adapter. For the other stuff, theres apparently a guy near by who's done the swap so I'll be talking to him for help. Can two 17 year olds perform a m62 engine swap in a tiny garage? I guess we'll find out haha.
