ok, so the tranny was low on fluid, I changed out 1 qrt for B&M trickshift and now the car drives better and shifts nice. pulls very smooth in all gears

my in gear idle is a bit low and surges a bit but other than that it drives smooth as stock with a bunch more power.

no, I have many changes planned to make it more efficient but I'm short on money now:( I think I'll turn the boost up a bit pretty soon:)

Car should be back on the road this Thursday, I've been making more changes to the charge pipes and exhaust setup. I've gained about 6 inches of 3" charge pipe and will now be running a dual tipped straight pipe out the back instead of my current very quiet subaru muffler.

well, finished up my new setup. I gained about 6 inches of 3" charge piping and finished the exhaust. The car runs pretty good but its on the rich side under WOT and light throttle cruising. I believe my TPS is not set correctly. The exhaust sounds great, doesn't even drone with out a muffler:)

Car ran excellent all day today,I will be upping the boost tomorrow for 8psi, I will work out any bugs at that level and then see if I feel it as being reasonable to go up any further. My afrs are still rich, but its a drivable rich...

so, my turbosmart boost controller wouldn't get the boost low enough for my goal, set to the lowest setting I hit 12psi. It was fun and all but not what I want.

What boost controller would be good? I have a Halman pro RX in my WRX that is nice but they are kind of pricey.

Just read through the entire build, looks like a ton of fun. You should get a go pro and have it always running when you drive so we can catch that magical moment when the auto tragic throws in the towel :D

not sure if that is going to happen, I've done like 50 turbocharged donuts and the tranny is holding up excellent. It held up to 12 psi yesterday which was an amazing feeling...

What color smoke?

I believe its a grayish smoke so hopefully its just fuel and not oil.

50 Donuts. The true test of the performance of an automobile. I think Car & Driver should replace the 0-60 with such an astute measure.
