I forget, did you end up installing a trans cooler?
the transcooler is still sitting in my room, I cant figure out what thread the factory cooler is I don't want to waste money ordering several kinds off fittings to find they don't fit:( I was going to make a junkyard run and grab some oil lines and then go find out what thread they are.
Love your work man. So clean. I know you have made your case for the auto. I just think you would enjoy it so much more with the 5 speed. Either way, your car is the reason I got the trm wheels =].
thank^ so today I fixed my AFR gauge it just needed a differnt power source but I cant for the life of me get my AFRs down below 14 under WOT. I've almost doubled the fuel map and there isnt even a change:(
Is your fuel pressure regulator allowing adequate pressure?
If you pay shipping, I can send you the threaded ends of the trans cooling lines (both rad and trans sides) if you want mine, I am in the middle of my 5spd swap
if I rev it in neutral it goes closer to 13 AFR but just sitting there it slowly leans out to about 17. With the O2 sensor on it runs richer but doesn't pull as cleanly and sometimes stumbles.
I re-calibrated the sensor thinking maybe it was the wideband but its not.
When I ran blow through MAF the car ran rich and now at draw through MAF it runs lean:(
MAF's depend on laminar flow to get accurate readings and thus they do not like bends in the pipe right before where they are mounted. Does your MAF have a screen? If not I might suggest installing a screen to help the airflow straighten out a bit.
I went and reloaded the base tune just because I felt like all my messing didn't help at all. discovered that at idle my BOV is leaking air, if I cover the outlet my AFRs go from 17 to 13. I disconnected my BOV and closed the port thinking that I had fixed all problems so I decided to go for a drive but now the car spikes to 9AFR right as boost builds and stops accelerating:(
well until I can find a way to recirculate my valve I'm just going to run without a BOV so I can get a decent tune. My cars an auto so its not like it ever vents unless I'm done accelerating, 7Psi + holset+ a bit of flutter inst exactly a recipe for disaster....
soo, with out a BOV my car just runs super rich under WOT and wont even accelerate..... my AFR dips to 9 and 10 at around 4k. I spent a few hours subtracting fuel and it doesn't help.
I changed out the plugs and it runs great now, but the transmission has trouble getting into reverse now so I may need a new tranny now:( its always something...
