These 2 B10 BT are really great looking ,, and the milage of the red is almost unbelievable
,, it is so low

AFAIK,, there were 2 options for valve cover for E32/34 ALPINA cars with M30 engine

those as shown on the red and green .................and this as i have on my B10 BT
i think that cover must be ridiculous rare ,, because i have just seen that cover..ONCE,, on picture in another car,, i like it A LOT,, and it just bare ALPINA.. letters,, not BMW-ALPINA

but for me .. its the best looking IL6 valve cover EVER made on an ALPINA car

I seen this e30 for sale for 2 month already. It is a want be Hartge just like my projects. The only thing Hartge parts it has is Hartge steering wheel missing the center piece, Hartge Valve cover and Hartge headers. It has Hartge stripe package. The Hartge front Badge is not 80's badge. It is for late bmw.:hitler:

I had my friend weld my AKG reinforcement plates weld on sub frame.




I got carried away on polishing. Now I'm polishing the alternator.

Yes and no. I cheated a little bit by not polishing every side. Just the sides people are going to see only.

I didn't rebuild it. My buddy at O'Reilly did have it tested for charging. A+ for charging and bearings sounded good.
Thanks, for reminding me to order regulator. I'm not to concerned about this m30 and accessories. I building a second m30 to be a monster.

I would love to build a motor like (Good & Tight) Otis. I know where some m90 motors are hanging out at my buddy house.;D

I forgot to tell you how long it took me to polish the alternator. I would say at least 8 hours.

What do you use to polish all this stuff with man dang.

I use sand paper. I usually start with 180 grit paper to smooth every thing down. Then I go over it with 320 grit, 600 grit, 1000 grit, 1500 grit, 2000 grit. Then i polish it Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish. It is way better to have a stationary grinder wheel to polish like chrome. I'm still need to find one grinder wheel.

No my fingers to hurt no more. I been sanding for at six month. The only time my find might bother me is when I use 180 grit paper. My finger print are almost gone.

It is a labor of love when it is shinning.

I know the feeling. About a year and half I did my Hartge 17 3pc wheels. It was a pain to do them. The final result was rewarding.:crazy: I must have gotten used to it. Here some pics of wheels on my Hartge H35-24 clone. If you click on pics it will take you to some of my rare and not rare parts.
