Yeah. It'd be $200 just for the manual conversion plate from Massive, and I really don't like how Matt says to attach the clutch pedal. I just don't like it being bolted to the firewall. Here's the box I'm getting
Goddamn that thing is loud... you weren't kidding - not really surprised though, considering the exhaust setup. Can't wait to see this beast in action!
That pedal setup does look nice, but damn is it pricey. So is the wilwood master you have going to work with that pedal box? Or are mods gonna be necessary?
I dont think so, I was going to call them and see if they had any idea. If they do, I was going to just order a custom setup with just the brake master on there. Unfortunately, I just don't think it will. So I'll probably end up just trying to sell the pedal and mc, or just keep it for my mid engine mini truck build.
And yeah, it's pricey but I've decided it's time I just save up and get a quality piece, instead of multiple things I don't need.
You should just route the exhaust out the fenders!
I've considered it. But I think I'm just going to do an insert muffler and continue out the sides of the valance. I'm really worried after seeing the number of flames it shoots under no load, how many it'll shoot under load hahah.
Which carb are you running? Nvrmind even if your running an edelbrock now your gonna wind up having to go to a holley so ill just tell you how to tune that.
Start by setting the floats. There are 2 sight holes in the side of the bowls. You want those to just trickle when the car is bumped. You adjust using the needle and seat adjusters at the top of either bowl. Clock wise brings the float down counter brings it up. You'll also want to set ur idle air mixure (the screws on the metering blocks between the main body and the bowls) turn them in all the way then back them out 1.5 turns. From there adjust for a nice smooth idle and set ur final idle rpm using the throttle stop screw on the throttle.
Make sure your accelerator pumps are set right also by bringing the adjuster screw down to just touch the pump arm.
Use stock jets and pump cams and read up on the net on how to read plugs, get an afr gauge or just bring it to a shop with a dyno to set your jetting.
I also suggest getting some thumb screws for the bowls and the reusable bowl gaskets. This is where reading plugs can come in handy. U can have a 20hp swing based on weather conditions and the carb being jetted properly for the conditions.
Of course your also going to want wedged floats and jet extensions so your not affected by fuel slosh(this is what will kill u with the edelbrock) u can also go as far as to trim down the throttle horn.
