Looks like it could've sat down more on the rack a little too. That's what mine looked like when I put the E36 rack in, ended up taking out the flex disc and through bolting it. Wish I didn't do that now.

    87' is part out

My knuckle is on the rack at the point where the bolt can pass through. There's like a flat spot right under the threads.

          Wednesday, January 9, 2013 --

Minor work but got some stuff done today. I connected up all my rear brake lines at the joints and made sure they were tight. Also got my UUC SS clutch line hooked up to the slave on the transmission.

Worked on lengthening the wiring to place the diagnostic in original E30 location.
Z3M Shifter with the UUC DSSR
NOTE** The DSSR is really tight fit to where it meets with the shifter.
Installed and got the engine ground finished.

M52 headers clear the subframe and sway bar

AUDI A4 Brake booster clears the manifold without shaving off the fins.

          Test Fit

send the harness to Dave at markertmotorworks and have him repin it for ya! prob save you hassle in the long run and he could probably trim out wiring in the harness that isn't needed on the e30 which would make it much easier to tuck. awesome work so far, its inspiring me to pull my motor and redo the engine bay. Are you painting the body that same color? 5 lug swap? coilovers?

I thought about sending it to Dave. I already did business with him once and he's great guy and all but since I've tackled this build mostly myself, have to finish it that way. I've been looking at pin outs and comparing them here and there, checking ETM and everything seems pretty clear.

As for the paint, yes I will be painting the rest of the body the same color as the bay once the engine is running.
Remaining 4 bolt and I'm bagging my car so no coilovers.

shit my bad on that man I read the thread and totally forgot that when i typed that message. I will shoot you a PM about the wiring harness because I am having difficulties with my harness adapter and would like to redo the harness myself if I dont have the monies for dave. any idea on the best way to hide the wiring harness?

The easiest and cleanest way is to get the E30 M3 wire harness cover. Dave sells them or you can get from ECS, Guten and possibly BMW.

The craziest way is to wire tuck the harness but that's too crazy for me
