Thanks guys, I really appreciate all the support!

I hope I'm not coming off as some spoiled teenager or something haha because that is definitely not the case. I've always financially supported my own interests and hobbies and my parents have always been there for me in spirit. I live a pretty simple life so I can afford to pay for the things I love doing.

Or like this other kid on R3V that got mad at his mom and smashed his e30's windshield. So lame

Seeing these awesome 2002 threads makes me want to find one! My E30 needs love first I guess. Awesome job learning how to weld and fabricate things! Like someone else said you can really see your skills progress over time. Its inspired me to learn how to weld!

Not on the 2002, been busy setting up my shop whenever I can. I'd say it'll probably be about a month before I start working on the '02 again

Been reading this thread for the past few days here an there. Totally subscribed! Those beads in you welds got a lot better. I love 2002's. Keep it up man, can't wait to see this car finished. I can definetely hear you on how proper workspace can be so prescious. I am very lucky, my father lets me use his garage for all the work i've done on my e30.

A little update on what's going on in my life with the shop and everything. I finally did something '02 related today so I figured now would be a good time to get up to speed on things!

It's been about a month now since I've had my shop, and I've been over there every chance I can get setting stuff up and organizing and what not. Purchased a lot of new tools, built a bunch of shit and it's been a blast so far. Loving every minute of it.

For how thoroughly I normally document stuff, I've surprisingly laid off a bit. I guess I've been too caught up in setting everything up to take a second and document things, at least with my nice camera. I finally stopped to take some pictures today on how everything is looking so far. It's still far from done, but it's getting there. I started off by building the biggest work table ever (so much room for activities):

I felt like building something random so I made a tool wall which hangs from the ceiling, thought it was kind of a cool alternative:

Then built some standard shelving space, nothing really special. I plan on painting it black to kind of match the general theme of the shop. It also doubles as a work table and another place to hang some more tools and what not:

Gotta have a lounge. I got this couch for super cheap but it's kind of small and too nice for a shop, so I'm selling it. But for now, it'll do. Also got a mini fridge and a music setup. Gotta have tunes too!

And the lift is up and running as well! I feel very lucky to have this:

So that's the state of the shop as of right now. More progress will come with time. And that brings us to the 2002, I finally got something done! How they looked:

                            Apart:

And a mock up of the new lips:

Then off to powdercoat they go...soon. Thanks for looking!
