Great read! (though I did skip like 20 pages, I'll be back) Surprised I haven't seen your car around Bellingham, though I guess I've only lived here for 3 years...
Sounds like you had a lot of fun with the car and now I'm definitely very excited for the future of my e30. I didn't read into detail enough to know the current status of your engine, but if it's still got that MS setup I'd love to check it out sometime. I'm always okay with learning how to make more power out of these old m20s :D.
Oh and where do you autox up here? Chuckanut SCC hasn't been running any lately because they can't secure a venue. Only other big ones I know of are BSCC and PCA in Bremerton, and that's hell of a trip for that early in the morning. I need to test out this new H&R Race + IE sway setup!

it's still running on MS3. car is parked in the garage at the moment, I have some things that need taken care of on it. you're welcome to stop by on a Friday and chat though.
I haven't been lately (kids aren't old enough to bring yet, but they're getting closer). However I'd recommend going up to Canada. the UBCSCC was a great bunch of guys (and girls), plus the events were way better run than the CSCC and you'd get like 8-10 runs instead of maybe 3. CSCC events were always so frustratingly slow and poorly run. there's also the VCMC. They have a skid pad up in pitt meadows, really nice place. it's not that bad of a drive from here, maybe an hour. Bremerton doesn't interest me in the least, too far away.Comment

Yeah, I'll have to check it out! I'm always down to make some more local connections. Can't gain enough knowledge.
I'll definitely have to look into UBCSCC, sounds like much better of a drive than 3ish hours to Bremerton.

me too!
just busy. I want to finish my cluster conversion, but I need to get other people's stuff done first, plus work has been unrelenting. I only take 1 full day off a week and I spend that with my family, so no time for cars. :(Comment

in time! I'm really hoping to finish the cluster by the end of the year, I only have a bit more wiring to finish before I can test it.Comment

while it would be cool, I can't really make them for production. the acrylic cover is a one off piece, it took hours of cutting, filing and sanding to make the face work, hours and hours of wiring, software coding, soldering, etc.
I can post a detailed build thread when it's done if somebody else wants to try it.Comment

Fronts are koni race. Rear are koni sa from something else that is close in rates. Koni race inserts are the only ones you can get off the shelf that can be used with shortened ix housings.Comment
