But surprisingly enough, in 25+ years, none of these wheels have come in contact with a curb in any way, on the front or the back. I stripped everything off them and there was zero signs of anything being fixed in any way.
One of the greatest little mods I've done, up there with a PS delete.

I would try it. It could be a nice change of scenery since your other wheels were black too. I dont think white would be obnoxious at all. Its still a neutral color. Itll stand out, but it wont look stupid like the neon color shit. maybe get a quick Photoshop of it.
Once I take some good pics I'll maybe get someone to do a shop for me.
Maybe I'll plastidip them white and see how I like it. I didn't quite want a bright/obnoxious color.

I thought you were gonna go for a small stretch on the tire?
I considered it, in retrospect I shoulda gone 195/45 for fitment, but having a more popular tire size was somewhat important. I got all 4 for $150 off craig's, rears are pirelli's at 90+%, fronts are falken 912's, never mounted.

Full matte black isn't my taste, but glad you finally got them on.
Probably looks better with a whole car shot though.
It's a dark bronze, but does look matte black 90% of the time. I like the color but kinda wish it was a bit lighter.

I have falkens up front, same size (205/45). They're slightly skinnier, but not much at all. They're definitely not stretched up front.

why no lip on those wheels?
It was starting to be too much of a bitch to mirror polish the lips. They're machined from the factory and were never really meant to be high polish. Even new borbet's aren't especially shiny, and these wheels have 25 years of slight pitting and stuff on them. But surprisingly enough, in 25+ years, none of these wheels have come in contact with a curb in any way, on the front or the back.
