bags would be fresh. i have been patiently "stacking my chips" or saving money for those of you no hip to the lingo. i am at the point where i can start buying parts and actually starting a build thread. i also am on the fence. i want to go static but bags just sit so nice. i havent been in a bagged E30 though so im scared to go that route due to not wanting to lose handling capabilities. im mainly building a fun weekend driver to cruise and hit a couple canyon roads here and there...

My thinking is that in a year or two I'm going to have a couple more bimmers so I don't mind making this one into a bagged stancemobile.

Finally got around to replacing my blown konis...

Ran into a hell of a lot of trouble taking the strut collar nut off. That fucker was on there good. I think it was combination of the loctite and blown insert excrement that was keeping it on there. Eventually, with the help of heat and the hammer/chisel method, we got it off...

Didn't have a torch on hand so... improvisation!



Since it took so damn long to get the driver's side collar nut off, we had to settle with only replacing one of the inserts. Also, turns out my wheel bearing and control arm bushings are shit so I guess it's time to order some more parts... But, that's the life of an E30 owner, I guess. Hopefully I'll be able to take care of it all next weekend.
