Id search around, I have a few threads in the M50/S50 & M52/S52 forums. Also, mine was a 318, but had a M20 swapped in so I kept the G260 and 3.73 LSD

Engine is back out of the car now at the machine shop so I am thinking about flying up to do something about the appearance of the engine bay. Obviously pressure wash first, but I also want to remove unecessary brackets and studs. Might just spray the engine bay with a black/gray undercoating... thought

No undercoat. Undercoat never gets fully dry and is always kinda sticky. I've seen people use dupli-color bed liner and it gives the bay a nice even spray, little texture but, its tough so you wont have to worry when you drop a wrench or something.

I used rustoleum professional bedliner and it wasn't cheap but reviews were decent and so far I'm happy with it and it dries like regular spray paint

Bad News: No solid timetable on when this will be done
Good News: Everytime I think about selling or buying another car, none will suffice. I must have this car! Its the E30 built exactly the way I want (minus the headache)

I do, and its a damn good deal. I am trying really hard not to add more to my plate and another engine will do just that. that just means Im going to have to wait this out

annnnnddddd I just bought a return ticket as well....

at least now I can clean up the engine bay. Still on the fence about actually cutting and removing stuff though.

                      thoughts?

They added the remote coolant resevoir bracket when they did the M20 Swap, then theres a few other random ones like the washer resevoir, airbox mount. I think thats it.

Allrighty folks, spent a little bit of time with my little nightmare cleaning the engine bay out and installing the euro grilles that have been sitting in my garage.

Also tried to install the Formel Steering wheel, but apparantly its not a bolt in to a Momo hub. I didnt cut any of the brackets and stuff off either because the car was buried outside and realy, just didnt feel like doing it...
