"fun" update! spent the last weekend changing the starter. I was dreading doing it but within an hour the intake manifold and extras were out of the way
breaking my back for my baby
Hey look! 26k miles and still looks brand new inside
after my starting issue was over, the fuel pump got jealous and is showing signs of death. that will be the fun for this next weekendSimon

Did the same on mine also, didn't have to remove the intake though. Ends up I had installed the M10 starter instead of the M30.

Today, since I was out in Orange county I figured I'd drive out to Lake Elsinore and have Ted fix my vanos. Irvine BMW gave me the wrong vanos gasket so it derailed us but Terry (qukbmr) came through and now my engine is much quieter. This is the only pic I snapped while he was working.
Glad this is done now I can focus on the fun thingsSimon

In other news, Ive decided to tackle something that I have owned for two years now. My goal is to have it installed by my birthday, seeing as how I bought it for birthday two years ago!
I needed some magic juice and it will give me something to do while I watch Michael Scott make an ass out of himself

I got lucky because it happened right when I got out of a twisty section and just got into the straight. Pulled over right away. Cars at JMP Auto, we'll see what they say about it Monday. Possibly welding a reinforcement plate around where the subframe mounts to the car... I'm pretty nervousSimon
