It's getting there man! We made a to-do-list. There's still quite a bunch but nothing too big.

We made a shield for the firewalls to cover the ECU and the other misc wiring components, ie immobilizer.

Reverse light mounted underneath the trans

Cleaning up the wiring up front. Most of it is hidden in the "dash"

I have a few more videos but nothing too exciting. We've been driving it and figuring out all of the coolant problems. The aftermarket (read - cheaper) thermostat we put in was bad so we had to pull it out and put a new OEM one in. The filler neck on the upper expansion tank has a leak so we are trying to solve that. We filled the air/water IC with water and wired up the pump w/ a switch. It works very well. The pump is almost silent.

Thanks man, that bead roller works surprisingly well! It's a lot easier having 2 people work it, one to turn the handle and the other to feed/guide the sheet.

Every time I look at this it gets cooler and cooler. Awesome work.

Reverse light mounted and wired up. It's pretty bright, the pic doesn't show that however.

We made the shields for both sides (immobilizer side and ECU side)

And also a shield for the intake/filter.

Wired up the boost control solenoid valve. It uses an EV-1 plug so I had to snip off the old plug and wire up this one.

We also wired up the cluster. RPM works along with most of the other functions. We are working on getting an accurate speedo.

                This is a wicked build.

I'm curious. You mentioned a EJ205 before but it has AVCS. Is it a V8 EJ207 (The immobilizer would make it a v8 not a v7) or is it a USDM EJ257?

Those Borg Warner turbos are pretty potent. I'm guessing you guys are shooting for around around 350whp?

I can't wait to see some videos of this thing moving.

We have two engines. The one in the car is an EJ255 out of a forester.

Thanks! And yes that's around what we want.

Look a few posts up. I posted a short running video :)

Lol, so do we. Can't wait to have it tuned! Just a few more bugs to sort out. We only get like 8 hours a week to work on it so progress moves somewhat slow.

The RPM/speedo/etc cluster? It's a KOSO unit. Waterproof. Made for motorcycles/jetskis.

We bought it separately from ebay IIRC.

The stock subaru ecu. Our tuner has offered to do open-source tuning for us. We were going to go with an aem standalone that would have separate tunes, one for e85 and one for pump) but e85 is nonexistent where we live so it would have been a waste.

the apv2 can hold a couple of maps too. open source is the cheapest though, but with the apv2 you have built-in logging and ease of maps switching and uploading

I've run both OS and the apv2 and actually recommend the apv2 over OS.
