Im thinking just a cheap ebay clutch. its whatever if I have to replace it in a year. I only drive it about 3 months a year haha.. Any opinion on me needed head studs? Thanks
Flywheel - Talk to a trustworthy local machine shop and see what they can do about turning down your flywheel to shed a few pounds.

Manifold - Manifold adapters work just fine.. with the HX40 you will have lag, changing to an alternative fuel (e85) will help spool a little bit but hands down if you want faster spool, look into a smaller hotside or turbo all together.

Clutch - I run an ebay 6-puck sprung clutch with a HD pressure plate, so far I have 12,000 HARD miles on my car (auto-x/dragstrip launches, street shananigans and occasional track days).

Head stuffs - Quite a few members have made great power with a stock HG coupled with ARP hardware, some with o-ringed blocks, some not. That is just 1/2 of the iceberg though, its all in the TUNE!!!

Thanks man. Appreciate it. Making that manifold this weekend hopefully! Probably going with some 450cc or 560cc dsm injectors because they are dirt cheap and I'm going to rebuild them! They are low z, but that doesn't really matter. Yea the tuning is the one thing I'm not going cheap on. Knock sensing for the win! I will be staying low boost until I get it to a dyno, or I trust my tuning capabilities haha.

Could you refer me to the clutch you use? I don't really care about driveability at all. Just cost and effectiveness, or it's ability to hold torque.

Turbo- the plan is to get myself to build the engine around the turbo :p a little motivation I guess.

Also, if anyone has anything that would help this build, shoot me a price via pm or something.

Little update. Almost finished building my ms. Accidentally didn't order the things so I can run wasted spark. Ordered them last night.

When turbo setups are concerned I was always told that proper head studs are needed. ARP is usually the proper set up. Also the head gasket need to be upgraded for the forced induction. There were some tripled layered ones that someone said would be good for a turbo setup.

Yea I'm going arp head studs, hopefully an oring-ed block and a stock head gasket.

ordered a goetze head gasket, and new CPS and currently looking for someone to sell me some head studs. Someone around here has them for 230 SHIPPED. on ireland they sell them for 230+ 20$ shipping.. yea im that cheap. Probably buying a f1 racing clutch tonight. Wish me luck. Anyone know how to tell if you have a dual mass flywheel versus a single mass? I recieved a flywheel from some dude saying it was in an e30, but never told what kind. Also, I bought an AEM wideband.

Bought an exhaust manifold from a member on here. Pretty excited.

                        Who makes that turbo manifold?

Supposedly before 666 fab and Jon Volk(sp?) there was this dude who made a group buy for manifolds. I guess they are good quality? Not made anymore though. It was made in like 2006 or something.

Worked on the diypnp today. Basically finished except I ordered the wrong damn kit to drive wasted spark.... also bought some more stuff. 42# injectors almost new. Walbro 255, some BOV, and my oil drain. Need to order the feed still.

Looks like your Sister was enjoying some high rev fun ;)

Looks like your build is coming along nicely. Are you going to Oring the block yourself?
