Clint Eastwood: Old and white on the outside, black and leathery on the inside. +S52!
.........hmmmm.....looks like you forgot to weld "nfl" rear apron on rear to complete your vfl/nfl bumper swap....I,m thinkin' that would have been the smart thing to do before painting

Yeh I prefer the high rear end of the early cars, looks more muscle car with the diff and more of the rear tires showing. I don't like how fat the tail looks on the later ones.

Update: Piecing together the exhaust right now, considering Stromung vs Eisenmann. (400$ vs 1000$?!) I'm also working on the MS2 right now.
I have a Strömung cat back on my vert. Absolutely love it. Not sure you have the right price there though. I got mine used. Vac sells these for $665 + ship.
OEM+ or bust! reelizmpro: I will always be an e30 guy.. I still do all of my own labor TrentW: There's just something so right about a well-built M20 in an E30 e30m3s54turbo: I save my money for tuner parts.
I hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.

Yeh, all pricey. Maybe I'll save the moolah and go with the Stromung. I wish I could hear from someone who has heard both.
There's no clips of the Meistershaft on an E30 that I could find. Got anything? You heard it on a 6 cylinder?

Sweet car, but who owns those houndstooth seats now and where do they live?
I have no clue. They were shipped into Cali. I sold the two fronts for $500 I think. Sedan sport seats are pretty rare.

If it were my car I'd lower it in the back too, but since it's the first thing I'd do it's probably a bad idea.
Yeh, maybe. I kinda like the muscle car rake it's got going on. I find under hard cornering it rubs on the fenders though, even with them being rolled and pulled.
I don't want to run any smaller width tires though, I'm already sliding a little at high speed cornering.
Hey, so I've been slowly working on the supercharger in my spare time. To fit where I want it (A/C position), it needs to be shortened by 2", so the pully will line up with the crank pully.
Took some measurements, then built a design in Solidworks for the CNC Lathe to cut down the shaft.
Among other things, I FINALLY found an M3 drivers seat in Cardinal that didn't look like it lost a knife fight.
A lot of the plastic adjusters are broken, but I'll just take the leather off and fix my current M3 seat.
Then? Toronto Auto Show AWW YISS.
Next build anyone?
Then, I figured I couldn't get much more done on the car since it's far away in an underground parking garage, I'd work on the motorcycle again.
Dude, I like how you just fuckin' jump in and go for it. Good job.

Whenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"
I found these really heavy duty 304 stainless flange clamps with solid butyl gaskets, good to 250 degrees with vibration and can withstand 30,000 psi.
They're used in the pharmaceutical and food industries, so they're sanitary stainless and extremely high quality.
I'm going to cut the mild steel 3 bolt flanges off the bottom of the S52 manifolds I got, then replace them with these things. Why BMW put mild steel flanges on stainless manifolds is totally beyond me.
Man, building an exhaust is a TON of work. Going on the 3rd full day now. Measure, cut, remove from car, weld, fit back into car, measure next section, etc etc.
Anyways, today I got the following done:
Removed 3 bolt mild steel flanges on the S52 manifolds. Tacked in sanitary stainless flanges for the quick clamps.
Built the merge and downpipe, lots of space to clear the subframe and sway bar. These were such a pain to make, but I could do more if people want em. (Maybe make a jig or something.)
Got the rest tacked together, from the merge pipe to the muffler.
Tomorrow I'll be backpurging and solid welding everything together.
