    I know M5X/ S5X with a G260 works with slight modification but I have no idea if an M20 will mate with a G250 like you have there. Myself, my brother and my grilfriend have all blown up Getrag 250's, they seem to be one of the weaker transmissions out of all the older Getrags. I'd say even if you could make the 250 work sell it and get a 260 as they seem to be more stout.

    If you are using an M20 flywheel the E30 pilot bearing ID is too small for an E36 input shaft. I have no idea what else you would need to make that Getrag work with an M20 as the only experience I really have with M20's is pulling them out, selling them or scrapping them and installing something more fun.

    The engine is back out of the car, just dropped it in to get a idea of where everything is and how the intake mani is gonna fit

    I would pull the engine back out and try to mock the tranny up while it's out - I know from experience that pulling these trannies separate from the engine while the engine is in the car is hard... can't imagine what it's like when putting the tranny back in.
