If I was home I was gonna look at this.
Basically same thing. Cheap and doubles as camper.
Not sure on Dogleg to M3 drive shaft. Will work with with ZF310 and ZF320

that's exactly what this one is - 7.3 powerstroke TD. Lots of room on the inside, amusing little cabinets, exterior floodlights, and it makes ambulance noises!
paint should be done in 2-3 weeks, then the long haul of s52 - dogleg mating and 5-luggery.
anyone want to offer their thoughts on new replacement fuel tanks?
also, regarding driveshafts - this trans and motor combination doesn't seem super popular. Looks like some people claim the e30 M3 driveshaft will work, since they ran the non-CR 265. (are those the same length?) Some other people claim the e30 M3 and e36 4-bolt driveshafts are of equal length, and some *even other* people claim the e36 4-bolt driveshaft is interchangeable with the e30 big-giubo driveshaft, which some *yet more other* people claim is the same length as a regular e30 driveshaft but with a different front flange.
However, the 260 and 265 are of different lengths. Who's telling porky pies here?Leave a comment:

Our lemons team was looking for a diesel powered ambulance for a tow vehicle. Long wheelbase and lockable interior.
Looking forward to seeing completed paint job.Leave a comment:

earlier this week I got the green light for paint. Of course, it was the busiest week possible, so I spent friday night putting body panels back on, taking out the whole interior, pulling the driveline, reinstalling the front suspension and taking off the last of the various body clips and accoutrements. On the upside I got to borrow my friend's sweet tow vehicle:

car's at the body shop now!
also learned a valuable lesson - those clips that are used to attach the door cards to the doors? if you break all the old ones and get new ones, the new ones are really strong. I tore up the (soft, old) cardboard of my houndstooth cards trying to take them off the door. :(Leave a comment:

the box is theoretically sitting in our mailroom here.. I've not had a chance to go grab it yet.
We did decently well yesterday despite a lot of issues. blew our newly build M90 on Friday before we even started racing, swapped in a B32 overnight, ran hot but ok for all of saturday, good enough to be #1 for some time and to end the day in 7th. on sunday the ECU finally shat out, but it took us an hour to find out that this happened so we dropped out of the top 10 and had to fight our way from the 30s up to 18th.
overall a good weekend! I'm really exhausted but can't wait for more. Next race is the Thunderhill 5 mile in September!Leave a comment:

How did you guys do yesterday? I was heading south on I5 yesterday and saw a ton of Lemons on trailers.
also, did you get the gaskets?Leave a comment:

It's sitting around. Our lemons car likes to chew them up so I think I will save it for that.Leave a comment:

wasnt Oliver doing paintjobs for a good price??? Im sure if you paid him a little more, he can do a higher quality job. Not to say his regular sprays are cheap. Ask Erix how his came out? Not too far from you eitherLeave a comment:

boom!

the removal went super smoothly. anyone want this thing? fresh water pump, belt, tensioner, t-stat and plugs. would like to sell it whole before I part out the 731 head and the distributor.

other updates; fenders are in the process of being rolled, I'm starting to gather S52 parts, and all the rear end welding is done. The front window gutter rust is all that's left, and that should be a simple wire wheel job once I pull the dash out.
I've still been unsuccessful at finding a body shop that'll paint it for me. Either they only do insurance jobs, or their backlog on completes is about a year, or they want $15,000. Ideas anyone?Leave a comment:
