Yeah you and me both its going to take a while. But my goal is to have the car totally panted by June. Then im going to focus on the interior im changing it to black and covering the dash and center counsel in a Suede with suede seats. bye bye $$$$. After I have finished with that I can focus on the M30 which will be getting the following after talking with Paul Burke I am gong to replace the intake manifold with a S38 ITB, Get megasquirt and just have all sorts of fun with this engine.

So far the only one i can find is on Germany Ebay that are $900 USD from a S38B36. Is there a difference from the B35, B36, and B38 ITB?

Im going to buy the throttle bodies soon just so i can trap myself into doing it thats actually why i started my tear down before i got a second car to force me to start it LOL dont judge.

Oh lol i did not know that. Well if the B38 will mount to a B35 head and i am able to port to match the throttle bodies then ill try for the B38. I know thats going to be costly but a ITB set up is costly so eh what ever lol. Can the B35 head be ported to 50mm?

You will need adapters for a m30 head to s38 itbs. Here is a old link a friend gave me about six months ago.

I forgot he sells them. His price were a little more than ebays. At the time I did not to wait for adapter to be available to buy.

Yeah Paul told me pretty much if you have thought of it for the m30 he's done it. The m30 is his favorite bmw engine.

PB's adapters are a lot nicer to the other ones offered. His are machined internally with a taper so a lot less material removal is required to blend the head to the adapter. I've done this with a non PB set and i would def pay the extra for PB's in the future.

I dropped off my block and rods at my local machine shop he took a second look at the block and he showed me what i thought where cracks where actually just a deep jagged scratch so hes going to deck it to 8.555 inches and reinspect it for cracks. He then will be lightening the rods wile keeping the structural integrity of the rods. Ill take Pics of the engine soon. As well as further progress on the tare down of the body. If anyone local to me has a engine hoist please let me know i need to pull this M20 out of my car. Im getting to the point where i need the engine out so i can proceed.

Hopefully in January I'll be able to order some Paul Burke pistons either 11.5:1 or 12.0:1 compression. Can 12.0:1 run well on 91 octane fuel?

I may be able to pluck the engine and transmission soon so I can finally progress further and get the car totally stripped down for the paint to be ripped off.
