Nope no inspection. Just pay your registration get a sticker ezpz. I've seen a few pop up in the LA craigslist always stock examples with 30 years of wear and tear. I've seen them from 2k-4k and upwards of 6-7k for a turbo.

do you have a link for this one? I LOVE that 6.3 motor...
I almost bought a 87 190d that was turbo AND manual. blue with blue interior. I couldnt bring myself to buy it even though I really wanted it. Still miss it....
Also, my brother has a grey market cosworth that he's owned for over 10 years and its having trouble passing smog. Its truly a PITA to keep the 16v smog legal in CA.Simon

Getting stuff done. Lots of trips to the junkyard. Plus finding my e30 in the yard.
Grabbed an entire carpet kit. Dirt included

Cleaned up ok
Front door speakers

Sl500 strut mounts

Lots of little odds and ends
yellow fog reflectors
burl wood interior trim
Different wheels incoming. (Anyone want to guess)
Period correct merc wheels like the centras

Hmm I'm pretty sure it did. Has a bolt on each side on the fenders. The yard is "Pick Tu Partes" out in Palmdale Blvd & 90th east.
Surprisingly yea the dirt did get out. The driver mat took a lot of love. Soaked it overnight in carpet cleaner, then dabbed it with a towel to get all the loose dirt lifted. What ever didn't come out easy I just worked it with a hard bristle brush.
Washed it out with a hose, shop vac'd as much water as I could, and dry.

I'm gunna take my time on these. I foresee lots of sandpaper and tears in my future. Probably going to have to make up some rear camber arms to stuff those 9s +10 back there. Haven't even considered tire sizes yet. 215/35, 205/40, 205/45. No clue.

Understandable, just dont take too long! Are you going to use the AMG spacers for the front? I saw someone selling those on 190rev or a write-up on what can be used to substituteSimon

I'm already spaced up front. Basically same as the amg spacers just used universal poly bushings cause ricer.
Spaced, cut, and rolled to fit the 8s +11 up front. Very unforgiving.

Some progress on one wheel today.
Turns out they were in great condition. Besides some light rash, a couple nicks, and minor chrome bubbling. No bends or cracks etc. Definitely the best chrome wheels I've ever had.
Here the chrome is smoothed out of most imperfections. Then roughed up for something the primer can stick too.
