Projekt: Slow as shit [Exhaust Video, end of first post!]

    What up R3V!

I picked up a 1987 325E in late January of 2013 as a daily driver with humble plans to start with. It came with a leaky head gasket, ripped up sport seats, crummy shift / brake boots, and ok paint sitting on Bilsteins, Mtech springs and new Borbet type As.

The plans originally entailed resealing and pepping up the m20b27 for a solid daily driver with good fuel economy... Since then over the course of the last year plans have changed immensely... The goal in current mind is a Motorsport derived daily driver with track time, road rallies, and canyons in mind.

The current build specs in order are as follows...

    2.8L M20
    ETA Crank
    85mm 10:1 Pistons
    135mm S52 Rods
    885 Head
    IE HD Rockers
MM Outer Valve Springs (Stock Inner)
    272 Cam
    Crank Scraper
    19lb Injectors
    Custom tuned DME by SSSquid

The engine is being assembled by Bimmerheads and will be swapped in around mid March!

    BavAuto Long Tube Headers
    Vibrant 12in Resonator
    Vibrant Race Cat
    Vibrant Muffler

    AKG Poly Bushings
    Rear subframe
    Differential
    Rear Trailing Arm
    M3 Offset forward control arm

    3.46 Limited Slip Differential

    Stainless Steel Brake Lines
    StopTech Street Performance Pads

    Z3 1.9 Shifter
    ZHP Shift Knob
    Corbeau GTS-II Seats
    Valentine V1 Hardwire
    Euro Clock
Original head unit w/ a hidden FM transmitter allowing use of any headphone jacked equipped device.

Dropped in some Corbeau GTS-II seats on E30 brackets and sliders (currently for sale). Along with hardwiring my V1, swapped in some suede boots and a minty fresh euro clock.

Dropped the whole rear end to swap in full AKG poly bushings, a 3.46lsd diff (replacing a 2.93lsd), stainless steel brake lines, and stoptech street performance pads.

Well well well, can you say hello 10:1 compression!

    Exhaust is on! Video below.

It's a vibrant muffler, 12in resonator, race cat, and BavAuto ceramic coated headers.

    Blacked out the kidneys

It doesn't look like much as I'm focusing primarily on "go" then "show". After the engine is swapped in and the power train is dialed in it's time for upgraded sway bars and further suspension work.

    Feedback and such is welcome!

    Stay Tuned!

Loving the blue door cards! Proper built early models are my absolute favorite. Whatever you do please don't swap to plastic bumpers....

      Seriously.
      Don't.

Drove up from Huntington Beach to Castro's this morning to have the exhaust installed in. Can't wait to hear what she sounds like when I get her back later today.
