Projekt: Slow as shit [Exhaust Video, end of first post!]
I switched shops because I simply wanted this done. Robert at E30 Motorwerks has been extremely busy with day to day service work. I've been consulting with Robert for more than a year than I've actually had the car with plans and possibilities for an E30. The shop's been an extreme source of information for myself. I basically walked in there without even calling back in the summer of 12 and didn't know shit about E30s besides that they're awesome little old cars. Here I am sometime later speccing my own engine, building a car to my liking. The shop does awesome work with a high attention to detail, they've built many engines and spec E30 cars. They were just a bit to busy with day to day service work for my timeframe. I can't speak highly enough of Robert, if anyone is looking for work in the Orange County area, get in touch with them.
oh i kinda figured. I've been there one time and it does seem like he's always busy. my friend had to schedule like a month ahead to get something done by him.
keep the updates coming.
I have to snag a UUC DSSR myself soon! Looking forward to seeing this done :)
One step at a time. Engine build and swap. Then either getting hooked up with KW V1s or going with catuned coilovers. Then sways and more. Progress is progress.
Turns out the shop that machined the block earlier had not added any additional chamfering at the top of the bore after working the bore, hone, and deck. So that had to be immediately addressed to funnel the rings into the block. After the additional chamfering everything went in without an issue.
