      And so it begins...

Block fresh from the machine shop, bored, honed, and decked. Next step is taping every hole in it and making it fresh. Then a nice coat of black paint.

Also just dropped off the intake manifold for ultra sonic cleaning, should be minty fresh later tonight!

                Bit of an update.

Picking up all my engine components from E30 Motorwerks this coming Friday. They will no longer be doing the work to say the least. Instead, Shant with Bimmerheads will be assembling and swapping the build in the near future!

So uh yeah, shit's getting real.

Dropped off all the components at Bimmerheads shop space. Should be swapped in within the very near future!

Shant does good work. He rebuilt my whole motor for a good price. Keep up the good work

Looking forward to the outcome of this engine! You've made some good parts choices!

The exhaust sounds awesome in person with the Eta engine so I can only imagine how the 2.8 will sound...

I cannot get over the exhaust, absolutely love it. I can only hope for the godliness to come with the new build and rev range. Should be unworldly at 7200rpm.

I switched shops because I simply wanted this done. Robert at E30 Motorwerks has been extremely busy with day to day service work. I've been consulting with Robert for more than a year than I've actually had the car with plans and possibilities for an E30. The shop's been an extreme source of information for myself. I basically walked in there without even calling back in the summer of 12 and didn't know shit about E30s besides that they're awesome little old cars. Here I am sometime later speccing my own engine, building a car to my liking. The shop does awesome work with a high attention to detail, they've built many engines and spec E30 cars. They were just a bit to busy with day to day service work for my timeframe. I can't speak highly enough of Robert, if anyone is looking for work in the Orange County area, get in touch with them.
