It's technically a Bmw... My daily build.

At some point I had to realize choosing between two 20-30 year old bmw's to drive each day wasn't going to cut it, especially as I'll be in downtown Pittsburgh for school the next two years, so I decided to pick up something more sensible; a 2004 Mini Cooper S, in British Racing Green(the only real acceptable color).

Stock minus KSport coils, Alta cold air intake, extended lugs and 5mm spacers.

I bought it, tagged it, and drove it up to my girlfriends house in Pittsburgh all the same day. Absolutely loved it, super fun and still got me 35mpg on the way up!

Then while I was up there, it decided it didn't really feel like having coolant.
So it 22 degree weather I set about trying to fix it, it appeared to be the hose, but a new one would take 7 days to get to me, and I needed to head home. So I fixed it best I could.

So I got it drivable and headed the 4 1/2 hours home. It made it, was perfect the entire way!

Until I popped the hood the next morning.

So at this point I'm assuming it's the radiator, but I'm not really sure and I'm not really feeling spending $150 for that to not be it.

Anyway, have a photoshop of the wheels that are going on it in the meantime.

Thanks to E30_Pare for that! Awesome shop.

                Nice!
I've kindasortamaybe wanted one of those since I heard one rip through a red light in town, blower wailing from the front, followed up with a pretty sweet exhaust note...

                I hope the v8 e30 didn't go away ...

Nice! Always loved this body style Mini. Always have to go with an S..

How is it driving around the city that low? Any problems with speedbumps and potholes?

It's fine around here, up near Pittsburgh it was pretty rough and the sound of tire on plastic fender got a little annoying. Back here though with decent(not great) roads they're pretty decent. They're about what $800 should feel like haha.

And thanks for the comments guys! And no, both e30's are still around. Gretta(v8) will never be sold(not that anyone would want her) and Heidi(Henna) is my fathers.

                        Real sweet man.
I approve of everything except getting an exhaust for it.
Really don't need that on your comfy daily!

I have some doubts as to whether the wheels you had on your e30 are going to fit on a mini- those cars run something like 50mm offset stock.
                          past:
                          1989 325is (learner shitbox)

mini s wheels are 17x8 i think with +40 offset. Dont think its going to be so bad with the schmidts. I tried to imagine realistic fitment in the chop camber and all. :) Thanks for whoring the chop!

I'm lucky enough in my job to take Minis for a spin every now and then and although the later turbos are quicker, you just can't beat that supercharger whine :D

Where are you getting your blower pulley from? JCW?
