Nice, you must have a different model compressor on your car then. Mine was a Seiko, but I think most were Bosch?

BTW I updated the cooling thread:

      2.5" Clamp
Thunderbolt 2.5" High Flow Cermanic Cat
2.5" Summit Racing 12" Glass Pack

Nice looking set of parts there. I have a similar setup on my car - be prepared that with 2.5 inch pipe, the system will drone pretty badly.

I ended up switching out my resonator for one with 2.25 inch inlet & outlet. This improved the drone somewhat, but I have to admit to still not being 100% happy with it as a DD.

Next step for me will probably be a resonated exhaust tip.

Yeah If it doesnt help I will throw in a 18" or 24", possibly a Vibrant resonator.

Got the wiring harness all connected. Only got a handful of stuff left to do install belts, hook up cooling hoses(perform bypass as well), install A/C compressor, install voltage regulator and bolt up the rest of the drivetrain.

Hey man, subbed as I'll be doing a similar swap soon. What are the details on those axles? I looked them up and didn't see prices or real-life improvements but would be interested in what they're like.

It's iffy, I will report back in a week how they are doing. I have heard people put on 12,000 miles no problem and I have heard they snap in half. Better than Cardone remans though.

I'm running a 2.5" system with a Magnaflow cat, Vibrant resonator and Vibrant muffler. It's loud and drone-y. I'm honestly starting to think an OEM muffler might be best, off an e36 M3 or something. I'll keep my eyes on this thread though, maybe between the 3 of us we can find a solution :) (before I had the Vibrant resonator installed, I was running a 14" glasspack - no discernible difference)

So I get under the car today to get the transmission up in place, there is no way in hell that is possible. It is a requirement to put the transmission on the engine before dropping it in. I am dead from spending a few hours trying to maneuver that thing in place. I will be renting the engine hoist again to pull the engine and throw it back in with the tranny attached. I broke a exhaust manifold stud and lock ring today so I threw an order together, it will be here Thursday.

My goal is to get the differential in place Wednesday and start working to get the CV Axles in. Thursday I will finish buttoning up the engine and pulling the 55 pin out to pull the engine. Friday get the engine out, throw the final stuff on. Get the engine in. Bolt up the driveshaft and finish it. Saturday morning do shake down runs, return the hoist and get my exhaust put on.

Got my chip in the mail, got that installed. Did the little wiring work for the tach and power windows/blower to work. Picked up the little stuff like hoses and coolant hose connectors.

I will throw a bunch of pictures and video up when I actually get it running and driving. I would throw more pictures up but much isnt changing. I will take pictures of the engine going back in though since I didnt last time. I did some things differently with my build that some people might like, tried to use as much OEM holes as possible. Found an awesome place for the ignition coil to bolt to. Used the M20 Relay cover for the M30 relays. Anyways, LOTS of detailed pictures of everything people might have questions about, so start asking if you want pictures of things.

                              Stay tuned!

it IS doable, but a major PITA. You have to jack up the front of the engine in order to angle the rear down and make getting the transmission on easier. IIRC it took me and a friend 2-3 hours of wrestling but we got it.
