    "Project Basketcase" Condor's E30 M3

Well, after owning more e30's that I can count, I just picked up my first e30 M3 a couple weeks ago. It's a solid starting platform, but it's in rough shape. There's no interior other than a couple Sparco seats and a harness bar. The original s14 was pulled out and replaced with an S50 in 2007.

The story is, that it had a full roll cage for its first 44k miles. The second owner cut it out, pulled the s14, installed the S50 and built it how you see here. He put another estimated 16k miles on it, so its a fairly low mileage chassis. I don't have any info on it regarding where or how it was originally raced. I'd love to find out some of the original history of the car. I don't know anything about it before 2007, or if this back story is even true.

I'll be using this thread to document it's return to comfy "street car" status again, so if any of you have some original M3 specific interior parts sitting around, please shoot me a pm.

It's got issues, but I wouldn't call that a basket case. Mine was a lot closer to that. ;)

oh man...so it had a full cage but they left half of it? Looks like all of the unique M3 interior pieces are gone but fortunately things like the HVAC unit, dash, consoles, carpet can be had from a 318/325. The fun part is you can decide on what parts you really need (I needed the HVAC unit, stereo). So is this going to be a street car only?

They cut out the cage, and the 2nd owner built the current harness bar for it. I want to reinstall the Hvac unit, and all the interior pieces. It will be a street/track car, but with a complete interior.
