The new one fits your description, but I also ordered it two years ago through Blunt for the Polaris 1973 02. Not sure if there's a difference in hood roundels between 71 and 73.

I know that the early 1600s had serif font for the BMW logo, but doesn't apply here.

The paint looks great, it turned out way better than I thought it would after I read steel wool. And I think evergreen is my new favorite color.

Oh gosh. I try not not to think about Evergreen too much because it's becoming one of my favorite colors too. God forbid that a nice Evergreen M Coupe comes up for sale anywhere near me. I'd give up two vacations and spend a month on the street to own one of those. I'd have to break into the Emergency Porsche 993 Fund, which I'm hesitant to do.

Really quickly before I forget: Pedal box rebuild kits can be found through Ireland Engineering. I went with a completely redone unit from CoupeKing, but I also gave them a good core for exchange. It cost me a little over $200 if I'm not mistaken. Small price to pay for fresh PC housing, plated metal parts, and new springs/bushings/etc.

Put about 250 miles on her so far. Drove to the Angel's baseball game yesterday and there was heavy traffic on the 55. The kind where you move 50 feet every minute. Apparently my cooling system isn't as strong as I once thought, as the temp climbed over half way. I took the next exit and cruised the streets for a while which helped tremendously. My temp gauge is accurate and the needle never made it to the 3/4 mark, but still, I need to look into this more.

The good news is that that's the only time it's done this. City driving and freeway driving (with medium to light traffic) isn't an issue at all.

                          She did good.
