im patiently waiting for pics of op's face. Glad you made it out alive. Pls show us your stitches -
Such a great thread and killer car! Very sorry to see this as I know all too well how it feels. My 74 looks just like yours now, including the crease on the roof from a similar tbone. Insurance battle was brutal but you if you fight for it they will give you what you want. Glad you are ok and I hope you can find a shell and transfer all the good stuff over to. Wishing you a speedy recovery!Leave a comment:

Holy fuck man, so sad to hear this. This little 1600 was quite possibly my favorite car on R3v. Glad you're OK though, cars can always be replaced, people can not. Get well soon!Leave a comment:

Ryan,
I feel your pain. My first 2002 (pictured) was totaled by an inattentive driver who plowed into the back of it and shortened it by about 2 feet. I had owned the car 7 years had many, many memories and experiences tied to it. It was the first car i really loved. Your crash has me re living that experience, I am so glad you are doing ok. Get well soon!

Glad to hear you're ok.How's that for a hit?

Her car:

Where my head turned my concaved steering wheel into a flat steering wheel. I think I'm going to try to straighten her out flat and run in the next car. Also, I shattered my BMW momo horn button. I'm not happy about that. Those are hard to find.

I'm still unsure of the extent of underhood damage. I'm fairly certain everything from the timing cover and forward is destroyed. Pity, it was a great motor.

I shouldn't be out of bed, but I was. Drove the m3 to the police station to find my driver's license, but they don't know where it was. Drove to the tow yard where I suspected the car was to grab some personal stuff from the car. Bonus, I found my hat and sunglasses that flew off my head 50 feet from the scene. I found them in the ford focus. I also managed to save the new windshield rubber and that little plastic liner thing.
Looks like I'm building another one soon.
Seriously, let me know what parts you need. I got you...
Edit: I have a 75 shell if you want to transfer stuff? lmk
