Tacos Adobe sounds like the perfect place to kick off the new year. I'll have my people call your people.

Thanks man! What's your name anyways? I feel like we should be on a first name basis by now.

I can help on the linkage though. It's hard to tell in the photo, does it have the u-shaped bracket off of the meshed gears?
Totally understand. No harm no foul.
As for the question you asked regarding the carb's setup, here is a better photo I took just for you. It does have the U-shaped bracket. I don't have anything between here and the long metal linkage piece that connects from the pedal box. I basically needs whatever goes in between the carb to that long metal rod.

    Photo for reference:

Oh yeah, I did some cleaning of the carb and manifold today as well. It's all pretty for now. I try to keep things clean for the most part.

    get to work!
I'm hesitant to pull the trigger with Mr. Kronus because I'm not sure of the turbo direction I want to go. My heart is telling me yes, but my body is telling me no.

But I really do need to pick up a transmission from him. We should sext each other and figure this out.

I respect and admire this philosophy. In addition to our mutual admiration of vintage BMWs, we also share this view on life in common currently.

Like a stray dog, I bring these cars/parts home.

Soooo are you going to send this to me? I guess I can just pick it up sometime next week or the week after Christmas dies down.

Thanks for checking in and giving me an update by the way. I know it's hard estimating a time frame on project completion regarding these headers that your fabricator controls. It makes IE look bad because they can't keep their promises on time, it makes me look bad because I can't put my car back together in time for a drive or some important event that I was counting on attending, etc. But I'm not mad.

I do need some stuff to make the 38/38 work, though. Most notably, the throttle linkage system. The carb/mani I posted up above didn't come with the linkage, so I will have to source that new. Can you help with this?

Man, that Lynx setup is the shit. Let one of those kits slip through my fingers a few years ago before I realized what I was looking at. If I don't go FI with my 2002, it's destined to get one of those Lynx kits.

    Rad thread is rad.

It's scary how well you know me.

But as an aside, I actually just accepted a job offer today. A large company I previously worked for approached me and offered me the reins to their Sales Division of all of the Southwestern US for the container and intermodal industry. Kind of crazy how it happened, but I am allowed to keep my current company as it is profitable and will continue to be so. The only caveat is that I cannot bring in new customers under my personal company.

So I start that position in about a month, and let an employee or two run my personal company and manage them from a distance. It sounds like a recipe for disaster, but I think I can swing it.

So this basically means more cars. Many more cars.
