so was the holset turbo real?

For all the research I did, and after taking it apart a bit I believe it is real, I emailed Holset 4 times to confirm it but they never responded once.


As for wrapping the exhaust, I am not going to, I may get a turbo blanket down the road again.

It was at about 15psi there. Among being so violent with good traction, I lost an exhuast hanger, if you look close my exhust is a little low, and bent 4 guibo bolts in two pulls like the video. This is the 3rd time Ive either bent or broken a guibo bolt in half. I need to find some really high grade bolts, stronger than stock.
I have some more timing to put into the tune, refine the tune a bit then a bigger meth injector to get ready for the supercharger. I may do a virtual dyno with this holset just to see what it makes one 19-20psi, just cause.

Those bolts look grade 5 to me. Get some grade 8 in there

Edit: If it's anywhere on the drive train, you should be putting in grade 8 or higher

Yes those look like some generic Home Depot bolts, no? Just order new OEM stuff.

OEM guibo bolts are grade 10.9 iirc.

I dont know if any of you followed his last thread but even OEM bolts bent and broke.
this car is too grippy and violent it was on an OEM guibo as well.

What size is your guibo? If you aren't running a large guibo/DS/trans output, maybe it's a good idea
