Picked up this beauty on 4/2/2014, its a 1984 325E. Its not pretty, but it doesn't need to be.

also redid leaky oil pan gasket and mocked up a battery hold down.

hopefully suspension, wheels, more tires, and more soon!

Going to run the stock eta engine till it blows, it has a rod knock already so its on its way out, as soon as it blows it will more then likely be replaced with a 24v.

I am signed up for CCC and HPDE in june, and just plan on track days/autocross, if i feel more adventurous maybe some novice racing since I will have my license.

I was asking because I tried those pads on Homestead Miami for HPDE and they faded horribly. They didn't overheat or boil the fluid like most normal street pads do, but by the end of the braking zones the car wouldn't slow. They seem like they would be good for Auto-X since they have a good initial bite, but can't take the heat of a long brake.

I have a lot of fun in my e30 with a stock b25, coils and good racing pads. Still has full interior and doubles as a daily. Just throw the ra1's on at the track and burn up a couple tanks of fuel.

We run an ETA in Chumpcar. So far this 250k mile engine has made it through over 50 hours on the track with no problems (other than our alternator going bad twice). You're not gonna out-drag anyone down the straights, but the b27 still has enough grunt to b fun, especially in budget racing.

When it comes to race pads, the Pfc08 compound has been phenomenal for me.

Yea pagids were a cheap temporary fix to the horrible braking (discs and pads were coated in rust) next set will probably be some hawks or stop techs, maybe mixed depending on what works and what doesnt.

Ill get better pics eventually, ive been lazy with my 60D.

And yes the eta engine is staying, plenty of tug, but its got a valve/rod knock so it might blow.
